Early Life and Background

Jasmine Paolini was born on January 4, 1996, in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Italy. Her father, Ugo Paolini, is Italian, while her mother, Jacqueline Gardiner, is of Ghanaian and Polish descent. Paolini's mother tongue is Italian, and she also speaks English fluently.

Tennis Career

Paolini began playing tennis at a young age and quickly showed promise. She made her debut on the ITF Women's Circuit in 2011 and won her first title at the same year's Aegon Pro Series Barnstaple. In 2013, she won her first WTA Challenger title at the Bergamo Trophy. Paolini's breakthrough year came in 2019 when she reached the semifinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Strasbourg.
