Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori makes Italy U21 debut
Calafiori, 22, has been in impressive form for Bologna this season, helping the team to a mid-table finish in Serie A.
He made his debut for Italy U21s in a 2-0 win over Montenegro on Thursday, and played the full 90 minutes.
Calafiori is a product of the Roma youth academy, and made his debut for the first team in 2020. He spent last season on loan at Genoa, before joining Bologna on a permanent deal this summer.
Calafiori is a versatile defender who can play at left-back, centre-back or right-back. He is known for his pace, strength and passing ability.
Calafiori's impressive performances for Bologna have led to him being linked with a move to a number of top European clubs, including Juventus, Inter Milan and Manchester United.
